About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24 Hour Visa Free Transit - Mutianyu greatwall

Hi, I’m an Italian girl.
On the next 29th of August I will have a long connection (14 hours) in the International Beijing Airport.
We will arrive at 11:20 am from Osaka and we will depart (to return in Italy) at 01:30 am (30th of August).
Could we use the 24 hour Visa Free Transit to visit the Mutianyu Greatwall? Thank you in advance.

As long as the immigration will give you a temporary permit to leave the airport, you're fine to visit the Great Wall.

Thank you very much!! Therefore, just to remove any doubts, when I leave from Osaka I declare to the airline company that I want to use the Free Visa in Beijing. Once I leave the airport I can call a driver who takes us to the Great Wall, is it correct?
Because a friend told me that with the Free Visa we cannot reach the Mutianyu Greatwall because too far from the airport. Thank you in advance.

Elena, it is possieble for you to visit Mutianyu Great Wall as long as you will be given 24h entry permit. Mutianyu is 50 miles away from downtown Beijing. If you don't have enough layover in the daytime, you are not recommended to visit Mutianyu.

It could happen if you don't have a hotel booking.
