Traveling while on a student visa

I am planning to study in Guilin from 21August 2019 to 31March 2020, but I want to travel to Seoul from 14February 2020 to 18February 2020. What visa works best for me? Thank you.

Gary, X1 is the best type for you. You should apply for residence permit upon arrival in China, and then you can enter and exit China several times during the validity of your residence permit.
