About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

will i get the 24 hour TWOV

Hello,
I am holding Indian passport but living in Mexico. I have flight from Mexico to India with a layover in Canada(without changing the flight) and then transit of 2 hours in Canton at the time of going to India and transit of 6 hours while returning to Mexico. Should I need the transit visa or I can get the 24 hour visa free option?
My baby is travelling with me but she is holding Mexican passport. Should she need visa or not? Please if you can help me I will be grateful to you. Thank you.

Thanks a lot for such a quick reply. Yes it is China Southern and single ticket. Should I need to collect the baggage there and need to go through immigration check or it will be just changing the flight?

You need a Canadian visa to transit Vancouver. Your baby needs an eTA if she is traveling on a Mexican passport.

You and your baby are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Guangzhou (Canton). I'm a bit worried because of only 2 hours between two flights in Guangzhou, but if you are traveling on China Southern through (single) ticket, then it will be fine because it is up to the carrier to ensure you reliable connection and he also takes the responsibility for possible missed connections.

I can say with 99% probability that your baggage will be checked all the way to India and you will know that at the check-in counter in Mexico. You will ask for this detail, but if they give you two boarding passes that practically means that your baggage is checked all the way to the final destination. Also, you will just remain in the transit zone, although crossing the immigration within the transit zone is possible.

Now, knowing that you have your entire journey on on a single ticket, 2 hours are just fine. Of course, you should be very fast even here, but at least you will have your peace of mind in case of nay delay.

On more detail... Please, inform yourself about the potential requirements imposed by Canada because you will have a layover there. I know that you are flying on a single ticket and that you remain on the same plane, but do some check about this detail to avoid any possible unpleasant surprises.
