Assuming I don't know any one in either of these places to legally provide a letter of invite, Is it possible to submit a full itinerary(s) instead of an official invitation letter for the visa application? Eg. A round-trip ticket from your home country to China and back / Hotel booking reservations during the window of your flight itinerary/ Bank statement showing proof of funds and so on.
