About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we qualify for the 144 hour free visa transit??

We are a group of 4 from the UK traveling in October 2019 to Xian Xianyang, China, via Hong Kong, staying for 6 days before boarding a cruise in Beijing. The 6 days are a tour with 2 hotel stays at Xi'an and Xicheng Qu (getting to latter via Bullet Train). We then travel to Tianjin to board the cruise ship en-route to Japan. Do we qualify for the 6 day / 144 hour free visa transit?

You need tourist (L) visas. The cost will be approximately £151 each for British passports. 144 hours visa-free transit does not apply because you are visiting more than one region of China.
