About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Guangdong Highway exit ports

Interesting that one of the websites has a full list of permissible exit ports and it includes the "Highway" Zhuhai Gongbei port.
Question is how you can prove a booking for that ?

Actually is the exit port and time of travel recorded in the visa ?
What if you leave within the prescribed time but at a different port ?

I fully agree but what if you have to leave earlier due to urgent reasons ? Presumably you seek permission at a public security office.

Good question :)

In short, this is really an eligible port of entry, but in reality there is no way you can prove a booking for. In case that you plan to travel to Macau, you will use a ferry.

If you are traveling on any type of visa free transit that is valid in Guangdong province and these are 24 and 144 hour visa free transit, then you HAVE TO use exactly that port and that mean of transport that you have presented to the authorities upon your landing in one of the arrival airports within Guangdong province. You simply cannot change your reported itinerary because if you do that, you will find yourself in numerous and really not nice circumstances because this is treated as intentional breaking of law. The consequences are, mildly speaking, unpleasant.

Exactly. There is a set of rules that governs emergency and urgent reasons and this is something that does not belong to let's say, usual visa free transit circumstances. This is something that suddenly made you unable to perform your original itinerary due to "force majeure". In this case you will approach the public security office and present your newly formed circumstances. After your explanation, they will allow you to book a ticket that will allow you to depart for your country as soon as possible.
