About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

I wander if you can help me please, as I have a friend who was traveling Australia-China-Romania

One stop in China for the exchange flight, and she was denied boarding her flight in Australia, saying she needed a visa! She had to buy a different route! This happened 3 months ago.
Do I need to contact the airline in advance? Will they deny me boarding when I go to airport in London?

Betty, I can only guess why did Chinese authorities have denied boarding to your friend during her travel from Australia to Romania. There could be a dozen of different details that were not in compliance with the rules of visa free transit. To be able to tell more and with more authority what might have happened I need her complete itinerary with every single stop and in the same way your too.
