About:Requirements for China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

Married for 11 years

Hi, I have been married to my Chinese wife since 2008, and been living in China since 2009, we have two children together (both Chinese nationals), we own our home, but I have not been working for the time that I have lived in China. I recently opened a business here, and was wondering if I would have to wait 3 - 5 years of paying tax and working before I can apply for Permanent Residence or could I apply for it now?. I am currently on a Q1 visa and have not left China for about 5 years.

Thank you for the reply, I will give it a go. What's the worst that can happen, it is either yes or no from the Gov.
