My partner is going on a Z-Visa

My partner is going on a Z-visa, we haven't gotten married yet. I work as a consultant for a company so I am able to travel anywhere. What kind of visa should I get in order to move with her?

You can apply for tourist L type.

But with the L Visa would they let me stay for a year? I thought that visa would only allow me to stay for 30 days. Her contract is only for a year.

Yes, L type would not let you stay for a year. As you are not married, you can only apply for multiple entries L type. You can extend twice and then you can stay up to 90 days.
