About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canada-Shanghai-HKG-Beijing-tokyo-Canada

Hello,
Wanted to see if this was ok. From my understanding it is, but curious if there is a limit to how many visa free uses in a short time span.
Going from Canada to Shanghai, spend 4 nights, then flight direct to Hong Kong, Spend 3 nights, fly direct to Beijing, spend 4 nights and then direct to Tokyo for 5 nights, and back to Canada. I am transiting through China, but it was only 72 hours from my last visa free transit from the time I go back through China when I go from HKG to PEK. Is that ok?

This is perfectly OK and you are allowed to use several 144 hours visa free transits in a row. Basically, there is no limit for that. You should just take care that your flights to and from mainland Chinese cities don't have any additional landing(s) within mainland China and your flight from Canada to Shanghai also in Hong Kong.
