About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Taiwan > Shenzhen > Guangzhou > Hong Kong > Taiwan

I am a US citizen, and I am planing to travel to Shenzhen from Taiwan for a business trip, and then leave Guangzhou to Hong Kong than back to Taiwan before I come back to US this summer. Will this plan qualify me for the 144 hours visa free application?

Also your Taiwan-Shenzhen flight must not have a stop in Mainland China or HK.
