About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Would we qualify for the 144 hour transit without visa in Beijing?

We are US citizens traveling from the US to Beijing and then to Hanoi. We aim to spend 6 days and then fly to Hanoi. We have a couple hour layover in Guangzhou for our flight to Hanoi, but don't plan to leave the airport. Would this be a problem for the 144 hour transit without visa?

Sorry but a visa will be required due to the Guangzhou landing. Flight from BJ must be non-stop to the third country. BJ > Guangzhou is a domestic flight to a different transit zone which limits to 24 hours total in China.
