if recently i am in china and i have s2 visa and after 3 month my s2 visa will expire

if recently i am in china and i have s2 visa and after 3 month my s2 visa will expire...and i want a
new visa x2 which will given by my university in china...so is it possible to get that x2 visa visa directly without any exit from china or exit must be needed?

Hi, you can apply for another X2 type in local Public Security Bureau Exit and Entry Administration without leaving China.
