About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Ok for 2 hr in-airport layover on mainland prior to 72 hrs in Beijing?

SIN-PEK (Via CAN with 2 hour layover there and I intend to remain in airport)

then 48 hours in Beijing utilizing 72 hour

Then PEK-SVO

I understand this would be ok if I were going nonstop SIN-PEK, but does the short layover in GUANGZHOU complicate things? Does the 72 hours start at that arrival?

The stop in Guangzhou means you are limited to 24 hours transit without visa in China. To stay longer you need a visa or different flights.
