Rome to Kunming via Beijing , Kunming to Milan via Bangkok

I will have 2 different tickets .
Outbound FCO-PEK-KMG( with connection flight in PEK)
Inbound KMG-BKK -MXP (with connection flight in BKK)
Can I am eligible for a 144hr Visa free transit( stay in Kunming area, less than 6 days)?
