About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

Our passport were mailed back with no visa, and no information. What should we do?

Hi - we went to the CVASC office in Toronto and applied for a S2 visa since our daughter is working in Beijing this year. We paid to have our passports and visa returned via the mail, since we have to take a day off work to go to Toronto. Our passports came back today with a $100 refund for each application and no visa. I am guessing we have been refused a visa due to lack of information, but there was no note. Looking for suggestions of my next step - hopefully someone to call versus driving back to Toronto.

Hi, as I know, CVASC in Toronto don't accept the application by mail. You may contact with CVASC for more information.

Update - the application centre phoned (thank you!!) to confirm that our application was rejected. Best guess - we need the long form birth certificates.
