M Visa Duration

How long (Duration) can I get a Chinese M Visa for 6 months, 1 year, 10 years with a South African Passport?
Does the duration depend on the invitation letter the Chinese company gives me?

Hi, the duration of each stay on M type may matter with the invitation letter and is usually 3 months. But you can extend twice with each stay of 90 days.
