About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

One way tickets...

Am I able to book a one way ticket from Canada to Thailand, the one-way from Thailand to Shanghai, then after staying for 48 hours book a one way from Shanghai to Canada?

Or does everything needs to be under one booking instead of multiple separate flight bookings?

Hi, you can enjoy 72h visa free transit with multiple separate flight bookings.

Mike, you can have separate tickets, but you need to have them in your possession (already bought) even before your departure from Canada. Also, it is 144 hours visa free transit and not 72 visa free transit. The latter one is replaced by 144 one.
