About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

if we fly direct from UK to Shanghai Pudong Airport arriving 05.20 8 April

and fly from PVG to Paris 23.20 14 April, do we qualify for the 144 hour transit without visa or do we have to drop a night from our plans? thank you

Yes, you do. And you don't have to drop a night since the layover time counts from 00:00 of the next day after your arrival.
