About:How to Apply for a China Visa

Applying Visa in Advance

Situation:
I am Singaporean
I will be touring with the Asian Youth Orchestra from 18th July-31st August around Asia (Including cities: Shanghai, Nanjing, BeiJing and TianJin)

My term at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music will start on the 1st September (I will fly to Shanghai right after my orchestra tour)

I will not be able to travel to Singapore to do my student X1 VISA from the period of 18July onwards.

I understand that all visa done in Singapore only allows a single entry to China.
However I will be traveling to many other different cities in China during August as part of the Asian orchestra tour.

My only option is to do my student X at the start of July before I fly off, my first stop will be in Shanghai.

Is it possible that I complete my Single Entry X application in early July and fly to Shanghai During mid July before my tour start, to convert the X1 Single Entry to a multiple entry one? Will that be a problem even though school wont start for another 2 months?
*please note that my official school term start 26th August, and I will attend school from 1st September onwards.

Mindy, it may be difficult to apply for X in early July. You can apply for tourist L type and convert it into multiple entries X1.
