About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Xiamen

Hi, I am planning the following route: Fly (non-stop) Hong Kong-Xiamen

Stay in the city for 1-2 days
leave from Wutong Passenger Port to Jinmen/Kinmen

According to the information I found, it should be permitted to enter at Gaoqi Airport and exit at Wutong harbour with 144-hour exemption, correct? Would an online booking confirmation for the boat to Jinmen be enough?
Has anyone successfully done this? I am more worried about the airline not allowing me to board in HK, but I don't know how passengers who are joining ships are handled in practice. I also wasn't able to find an e-mail address for the Xiamen Entry-Exit Bureau. Maybe someone on here has one?

Steven, your itinerary is eligible for 144 hours visa free transit and your booking confirmation for a ferry from Wutong Port to Kinmen is acceptable. Immigration officials at both airport and Wutong port are aware of this rules and you will be allowed to perform your planned route. Also, you will be allowed to board the plane from Hong Kong to Xiamen, but you should have your ferry booking confirmation in hard copy.
