About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Tokyo Beijing Munich

Hi, we have double entry visas valid 14 May to 14 Aug. We enter Beijing on the 8 July then exit to Tokyo 5 Aug. Return Beijing 15 Aug to leave for Europe 19 Aug. Seems our 2nd entry might be invalid by 24 hours, can we re enter China and request à144 hour visa? We're visiting family in Hebei.

Yes, you can, but you need to have eligible flight itinerary and also eligible citizenship.

If I have properly understood, you itinerary will be Tokyo - Beijing - Europe. This is fine for 144 hours visa free transit and it is not related in any way with your double entry visa that will be probably expired until your departure from Tokyo to Beijing. Anyway, you should have in mind that you are not allowed to travel on a flight from China to Europe that has some other landing within mainland China, beside Beijing, of course. Visiting a family in Hebei province is allowed because Hebei province belongs to Beijing transit zone.
