Can i take Pickles and medicine into chins

I am a seamen going to join ship in chine. I am a diabitic hence i am keeping medicine prescibed by my physicians. I will stay on ship for about 5 months so i need to keep enough quantoty with me. Can i take it along with me.
Further i wish to carry few packed indian pickles which are for my use, can i take it?

If the medicine is for personal use, then you can bring some. And you need to declare them at the custom. In addition, I am afraid that the Indian pickles are not allowed.
