What visa I need

I'll go to China to visit a friend this summer. But I don't know what kind I have to apply for, because I want to stay there more than 30 days. Can I stay in China more than 30 days with L type?

Dear, generally a tourist L type allows a stay duration of 30 days, but that is not absolute. If you give a travel itinerary longer than 30 days, the officer may give you a longer stay duration.
