About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hour visa trip to China

Does a 72 hour visa cover the follow layover in Hangzhou:
Flight In:
Helsinki(HEL) – Peking(PEK)** – Hangzhou(HGN)
**or via other China airport like CAN = Baiyun International, Kanton

(max 3 Day stay or what is max staying time without visa in Hangzhou?
Other choice for staying could be Shanghai - there is 144 hour possibility to stay if I understand right? )

Flight out:
Hangzhou(HGN) - Hong Kong (HKG) - Helsinki(HEL)

Or must I come to Hangzhou like via Hong Kong?

Hangzhou comes under the Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu region for 144 hours transit without visa. You should plan to arrive at Shanghai, Hangzhou or Nanjing on a non-stop flight from another country, then you are free to move around the region. You cannot arrive via Beijing or Guangzhou, for example. Helsinki-Shanghai-Hong Kong will be ideal for you to visit Hangzhou without a visa.

Okay.
Must flights be on same flight reservation or can I book separate flights/tickets in advance, like by Finnair from Helsinki to Shanghai, then by other flight company from Hangzhou to Hong Kong and then there by other flight company to Helsinki ?
