About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa to go to hotel outside airport

Hi!
I am a Malaysian passport holder. I am given a free transit hotel for my 12 hours layover in Beijing airport. The hotel is outside the airport. Do I need a visa for that?

No, but you need to get a temporary stay permit at the airport in order to leave.
