About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Leaving Sept. 1st. 2019, have flights booked (non-refundable), hotels, tours, etc.

When is the best time to apply for the Visa. Also just a couple of questions. #1. Does anyone has experience with what the airlines do if the Visa is refused? #2. The same questions with the tour groups based in China, if the Visa is not approved.

Dear, the best time to apply is one month before your departure. If you book non-refundable tickets, the airlines will not give your money back if your visa is refused, but you can possibly use the 144hrs visa-free transit for a brief tour in China and you can change the flights. What the tour agency will do is hard to say but you can negotiate with it before making the booking.
