Must I know my port of entry to China or can this change after getting the visa?

I am awaiting from my employer a letter of invitation so I can apply for my Z visa. I was hoping to arrive via ferry but not sure which option to choose. Do I need to know that for certain before getting my visa?
If I were to put on the visa application form that I plan to arrive in Shanghai on x date but I then end up arriving into Tianjin on the same or similar date, would this be an issue?

Thank you

Jman, you should know your port of entry to China when filling out the application form. Plus, it is OK if you want to change the port once you get the visa.
