About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Bangladeshi citizen_sydney to dhaka via kunming

Hi I am planning to go Bangladesh (Dhaka) from sydney via Kunming airport. Transfer time is 7 hr. Do i need to have a visa for this period? Also do i need to to collect and recheck baggage? Both of my flight are with Chaina Eastern Airlines.

You are perfectly covered by 24 hours visa free transit, so you will not need any kind of visa. Also, I cannot confirm, but your luggage will be probably checked all the way to Dhaka, especially because you are using just one airline and you probably have one through ticket for your entire journey. You will know this detail upon your check-in in Sydney, but there is no real problem even in the case that you will have to collect your luggage and recheck it. It is important that no visa is required in any case.
