Do I need to present a bank statement or ITR if I have an invitation letter from a Chinese friend?

My friend is Chinese. I am an online teacher. I want to visit Gangzhou for two weeks.

Jomar, if you are a first-time applicant for China visa, you need to present your bank statement of the latest six months and BIR-stamped income tax return form.
