Is Canada-Xiamen-Vietnam-Xiamen-Canada eligible for two 144 hours visa free policy?

I want to buy a return ticket from Toronto to Xiamen and while I'm in Xiamen, I travel to Vietnam on a return ticket back to Xiamen and be eligible for two 144 hours visa free policy?

This way i won't need to apply for a visa in advance from Toronto and can leave as early as next week?

Yes, as long as you are sure that there is no other layover in mainland China, you can enjoy the 144hrs visa-free transit scheme in Xiamen. Remember you need to book all flight tickets in advance for immigration check.
