About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

Do we require a visa (Transit? ) & if so what is the cost if any?

Disembarking Oct 26, 2019 on a cruiseship arriving 6am. Staying in Shanghai until Oct 28, flying out at midnight, total of 66 hours.

You can enjoy China's 144-hour visa-free transit for free, so you do not need a visa.
