what the additional requirements are for a multiple entry 30 day visa as Dutch citizen

Hi I was wondering what the additional requirements are for a multiple entry 30 day visa as Dutch citizen? I am both arriving and departing from Guangzhou on a tourist visa. I would like to visit Hong Kong during my stay. Therefore I need a multiple entry visa right?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your reply! If I structure my trip like you propose, do I need a flight from HK to Guangzhou or can I use the train as well?

Train is fine if you hold a visa, although EU citizens are not routinely granted multiple-entry visas. One or two entries are much more common.

Also there is a much tricker way to go to HK after 1 May 2019 (the day the 144-hour transit goes into effect) if you only ended up with a single-entry visa from the consulate (yes, they sometimes do that despite the explicit request and it's annoying).

You will likely need multiple entry visa but it depends on how you structure the trip. For example If you do Hong Kong at the end of the trip, fly Guangzhou > Hong Kong > Guangzhou, stay less than 3 days then fly to a third country you could use visa on the way to Guangzhou and TWOV on the way home from Guangzhou.
