About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Student to tourist

Hello. Do you know if I can change from a student visa to a tourist visa? Because I will be leaving China next month and will travel so I don't want to pay for another month of class. My student visa is valid until September 2019 but my school will cancel it if I don't pay. Thanks in advance :)

Amy, you can visit the local Exit and Entry Administration to cancel your residence permit after your student visa is canceled. When you do this, the officer will give you another visa valid for 30 days. For details, you can consult the officer there.

thank you so much for your answer!! I know that I can do it after it expired, but my residence permit/student visa is still valid until September this year. But I would like to cancel before (so I don't have to pay the expensive fees for chinese class because the last month I cannot go to class, I will travel). Do you know if it is possible to cancel the residence permit even though it will be valid until September?
