About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I Need Visa or can use TWOV?

Hi, i'm holding Indonesian passport and will travel Jakarta-Beijing-Vancouver and Vancouver-Beijing-Jakarta.
For my first flight, will arrive in Beijing at 8.35 AM, leave Beijing at 15.25 PM.
And for second flight, will arrive in Beijing 4.00 AM, leave Beijing at 15.40PM.
My question is, can i use TWOV free transit or should i apply for China Visa if i want to go out from the airport to have a sightseeing?

You can use the 24h twov in both ways, and you will be allowed to leave the airport.

24 hours TWOV is definitely granted in both cases, but I wouldn't be so certain about the entry permit. Although the waiting times are relatively long, Chinese authorities are sometimes reluctant to issue entry permit without accommodation booking or tour booking. In any case, you should try to get out of airport, but don't be surprised if rejected.
