About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I apply for the 72 hour transient visa in advance

We are flying out of Cambodia. We will be wanting to obtain a transient visa but afraid we can’t board our flight to China without it already in hand. What should we do

Your itinerary is fine and Cambodian authorities will allow you to depart from Cambodia. Please, keep in mind that after 1.5 days that you spend in Beijing, you have to take a nonstop flight out of China, i.e. your flight cannot have any landing within mainland China and Cambodia.

To be allowed to depart from Cambodia to China without visa, you should prepare and print out your onward ticket from Beijing to your destination out of China. Please, keep in mind that you have to say that you plan to travel to China using 144 hours visa free transit. They will definitely know what does it mean. Also, it is wise to have printed confirmation of your accommodation booking in Beijing at the time when you arrive in Beijing.
