About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

via and fingerprinting

Hi could you please advise, we are going on a cruise in march next year which visits Nansha for one day then hong kong for 2 days, we will be 67 and 72 years of age , British passport holders and born in England never left. Could you advise if we will need any type of visa of fingerprinting to leave the cruise and have a look around .

Hi, personally I think you need visa for it. You are advised to contact the visa office to inquire that.

The most important part is the one you did not mention. From where do you arrive in Nansha?

I have to correct myself. The province of Guangdong (Guangzhou the capital) where Nansha is situated has not yet adopted 144 hours free travel that will probably allow arrival by sea, so indeed, you would need a visa to exit in Nansha at the time being. Of course, it is always possible that a local border officials allow you an exit, but that would be upon their discretion.
