About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Singapore -> Nanjing -> (via Train) -> Shanghai -> Phuket

Can I use the 144hour visa with this itinerary?

Singapore -> Nanjing -> (via Train) -> Shanghai -> Phuket
Canadian citizen.

Yes, I had thought it was ok within Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. And that I could fly into one airport and then out of another.

Based on the information on the official website, if you leave Nanjing by train, you are not eligible for 144 hours visa free policy. If by plane from Nanjing Lukou Airport, then you can enjoy this.

The route is fine. Nanjing airport is a valid port of entry. SH airport is a valid port of exit. Passengers eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit can travel within SH, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. You can’t leave China via Nanjing railway station, but you can travel to SH.
