Do I qualify for the 144 visa free transit in Shanghai?

I am entering Shanghai via a direct flight from Amsterdam and leaving 5 nights later to go to Paris (France) and further to Amsterdam.

From my personal experience, your route is qualified for the visa free transit. But there are also two necessary conditions that you need to meet. One is that you have to be the citizen of 53 countries that are opened to apply for visa-free transit in China. The other one is you should take your valid passport and the flight ticket to the third country with confirmed dates and seats. What's more, you need to go through the inspection of the transit visa exemption counter to confirm whether you can successfully apply.
