About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Planning a Disneyland trip starting in Hong Kong to Shanghai to Tokyo, do I need a visa?

I am planning a trip to the Asia Disneylands and trying to figure out the visa process. Planning on flying into Hong Kong on April 1, going to Disney April 2 then flying to Shanghai April 3rd. We will then go to Disney Shanghai on the 4th then fly to Tokyo on the 5th. Would we be able to get the 144 hour twov or are we not there long enough and would get denied?

If your layover is more than 24 hours you will have no problem getting 144-hour transit. Also keep in mind that Shanghai must be your only stop in Mainland China and your Shanghai to Tokyo flight must not have a stop in HK.
