About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

38 hours in Shanghai

Hi,

We have a ticket from London Heathrow to Shanghai (staying for 38 hours) and then a flight on to Indonesia. Do we qualify for 72 hour transit free please?

The flights are all under one booking/reservation with China Eastern Airlines.

As long as Shanghai is the only mainland china landing on the way to Indonesia then you can stay in Shanghai up to 144 hours without a visa using your UK Passport
