About:Shanghai - Hangzhou High Speed Train

Is there train from Shanghai Station to Hangzhou West Lake?

Hotel reception told me the closest station is Shanghai Station, but I cannot find a train.

Yes, but there are only 3 rides a day from this station. All other high speed rides go from Hongqiao Station. So there is very few option from your nearest station.
