China visa single entry but going to hk in between

Hi,

I’ve applied and got my Chinese entry permit single entry approved. But only now I realised that I’m going to HK in between and coming back to China again. In this case, I’ll entry China twice, so do I apply another new single entry visa or I’ll need to apply a double entries permit? Thanks.

China does not allow a person to hold more than one valid visa. You need to either get a double entry visa now and pay the associated fees (which means your current visa will be cancelled and you won't get a refund) or try your luck in HK after you have exited China. For the second option there are many data points online for Europeans but not so much for Malaysians.
