Is it easy to change trains in Guangzhou South Station?

I will have a heavy checked luggage and also a carry-on bag. I am wondering if it is a hard process for senior traveler? Is there many climbing?

The transfer process itself is not difficult but if with heavy luggage, it may takes longer time. However, you can try to use the lift instead. There are usually lifts set up on each platform so you do not need to climb upstairs to waiting room again.
