UK to Hong Kong via Shanghai (my question made clearer)

As a British passport holder, if I were to fly from London UK to Shanghai Pudong with a one-way ticket (European airline), with another ticket in my hand (Chinese airline) to fly from Pudong to Hong Kong LESS than three days later, do I qualify for three-day entry TWOV? My thanks

You qualify for the 144h twov (there's no 72h twov in Shanghai).
