My husband born in feb 20,1973. In Oct’18 his business partner commit suicide. My husband lost all

My question is :
Now We have to sell our house to pay the bank loan, is it okay if we “rent” or better buy ? And do we have to find house with same facing (now south) or different ? Shall we see the best date for moving house ? Thanks
