My date of birth is 30.08.1983 and my partner date is 08.09.1981 we just broke up

but I still believe in my relationship but my ex things I won’t be happy with him bcoz he kinda controls me he moved down to be with me to make our relationship work and just choose to walk away it’s been very difficult for me bcoz I love him so much and still believe with we worked on our issues we would built a lasting relationship please advice me what hold for me
