About:Bao'en Temple Pagoda

My son has been in Shanghai for university studies on a 6-month student visa since Jan 1, 2019.

He's interested in trying to obtain a summer internship in Shanghai or elsewhere in China in order to improve his Mandarin and to have more time as a non-student in China. It appears that some of the companies he's been applying to for summer internships have advised him that he needs to have the appropriate visa first in order to be considered for an internship.

Is there any way he can obtain a short-term (less than 90-day) work z without burdening the employers he's soliciting? Regardless, please let me know the documents that an employer would need and that my son would need to qualify for such a short-term summer internship and let me know how can my son help the employer in getting the necessary documents (to make him eligible to be considered for the internship).

Thank you.

Your son can try to apply for work Z type from the visa office. Usually, he needs to provide a filled-out application form affixed with a passport-style photo, passport and its photocopy, and a work permit that his employer provided for him.
