About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

NYC-BEIJING-HONG KONG-TOKYO-NYC

Will I qualify for a 144hr twov under these circumstances?
*please note, I will just have a 2hr layover in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is considered a third country so USA-BEIJING-HONG KONG is allowed on a 144 hour transit
