Travel to Jiangsu from Hong Kong

I would like to travel from from Hong Kong to visit Jiangsu. I have an Australian passport. Would I be eligible for 144-hour twov Exemption?

Not unless you fly there and then fly directly to a third country. No Hong Kong > Jiangsu > Hong Kong
